Historical Context
Editorially reviewedKenmon Shokamon (c. 1467–1470) already pairs the square-pierced-round silhouette with Mikami. The motif name 釘抜 is a later label on that unlabeled drawing, which is why the public period is Muromachi–Edo for the drawing-plus-house pairing, while maru-ni and nijū catalogue names belong to Edo genealogies (Ichiyanagi; Kawakatsu) and must not be read back onto the Kenmon plate.
Provenance: Kenmon Shokamon: square plate pierced by a round hole, paired with Mikami; later label 釘抜. Kan’ei and Kansei fu name maru-ni / nijū-kuginuki for Ichiyanagi and kuginuki as Kawakatsu jōmon — different catalogue types. Hori and Ogyū-Matsudaira unread at fu-page; not claimed.

Kenmon Shokamon (見聞諸家紋), compiled c. 1467–1470. Album of house-paired drawings; later catalogues apply type-names as labels on those drawings, not as Muromachi captions on the plates.

Kan’ei fu and Kansei fu (Edo genealogies)
Edo genealogies (Kan’ei fu; Kansei fu) name maru-ni kuginuki and nijū-kuginuki for Ichiyanagi, and kuginuki as Kawakatsu (川勝) jōmon (Kan’ei fu). Hori and Ogyū-Matsudaira remain unread at fu-page in the Historian pass.
