Kenmon Shokamon (c. 1467–1470) is an album of drawings whose type-names are later labels. It already records several mokko arrangements (with hikiryō, paired, piled, five-mokko, yoko-mokko) without treating four-lobe versus five-lobe, or empty versus karahana centres, as one default. Oda goka ni karahana is a later named cut. English melon and quince readings are folk botanizations after the catalogue name, not Kenmon plant identifications.

Provenance: Kenmon Shokamon drawings include mokko with hikiryō, paired mokko, mitsu-mori mokko with hikiryō (Miki), five-mokko (Miya, Ōhira), and yoko-mokko (Asakura, Yagi, Ōtagaki, Ikeda). Oda goka ni karahana is not among those Kenmon defaults.

    Kenmon Shokamon (見聞諸家紋; also called Higashiyama-dono Gomonchō), c. 1467–1470. Muromachi album of drawings of warrior-house marks. Motif type-names on the drawings are later catalogue labels, not Muromachi captions written with the original plates.

    Supports: Supports mokko as one outline class already drawn in several arrangements (with hikiryō, paired, mitsu-mori with hikiryō for Miki, five-mokko for Miya and Ōhira, yoko-mokko for Asakura, Yagi, Ōtagaki, and Ikeda), not as two botanically distinct plants.
