Historical Context
Editorially reviewedRound pendants from West Slavic contexts in present-day Poland have been studied as a distinct early medieval jewellery group, with parallels elsewhere around the Baltic and in Eastern Europe. The relevant evidence supports the pendant form and its 10th–11th-century archaeological setting; it does not by itself establish a religious interpretation.
Provenance: Based on Hanna Kóčka-Krenz’s study of West Slavic round pendants, including finds from Poland dated chiefly to the 10th–11th centuries.
Research status: reviewed · reviewed 21/08/2026

Supports: Supports the West Slavic round-pendant group, Polish find contexts, comparative material, and 10th–11th-century dating; the radial form is not treated here as proof of solar meaning.
